AMD Radeon 6900 series of Radeon HD 6970 Latest & Radeon HD 6950

Graphics Card AMD Radeon 6900 series has just been released which supports architectural technology from Microsoft that is DirectX 11. (DirectX 11 allows the computer to run 3D graphics cool special effects.) AMD's new Radeon series include AMD Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6950. Prices for these new vga card starting at $ 299. That means gamers can buy because it can get a screaming-fast graphics chip with affordable prices.

Shows that AMD's new chip is still dedicate themselves to launch a stand-alone graphics chip (not integrated like AMD's Fusion) under the Radeon brand names. Meanwhile, AMD continues to advance with a chip combo / composite, which combines the microprocessor and graphics chip on the same silicon. They will start selling chips beginning next year under the brand name AMD Fusion and will compete with Intel technology called Sandybridge.

AMD new graphics card will compete with Nvidia recently launched the AOS GeForce GTX 580 and 570 chips, with the price of each $ 519 and $ 349. AMD Chip menaarkan Eyefinity feature, which enables a single graphics card to display the images on as many as six different monitors at the same time. AMD said that more than 60 games can now take advantage of Eyefinity.

The new chip offers more tessellation, special effects that make surfaces look more realistic. New chip about 2.9 times the graphics performance of AMD's chip before the AMD Radeon HD 5870. Tessellation is the most distinguishing feature with Nvidia.

Overall, high-end graphics chips AMD Radeon HD 6970 offers 2.5 times the gaming performance of AMD's fastest graphics chip from 2008. The new Radeon chip also has a non-graphical features, such as parallel processing that allows for video playback quality is better.

AMD Radeon HD 6970 has more than 2.64 billion electronic components, known as the transistor, which is the microscopic building blocks of the chip. Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 chip has 3 billion transistors.

AMD chip runs at 880 megahertz, 1536 core processing, a performance that is able to compute 2.7 teraflops and can push pixels through the chip at the level of 28.2 gigapixels per second. For comparison, the Nvidia chip runs at 772 megahertz, have 512 processors, and has a 1.58 teraflops of performance compute and process the pixels at the level apat 37.1 gigapixels per second.
